Hello Kpop Addicts?
It’s been a while since my last blog. Been out there jamming with friends and the least thing I do on the net is updating my nail art blog and spamming on Allkpop news.
Introducing another Kpop talented Rookie Girl Group, Glam! They’re making headlines too much for their comeback so when I checked them out, say, I was impressed. One of the girls breakdance on their debut MV “Party XXO”. This totally got me. The visuals and graphics are so amazing especally their blinged Glam name. They have powerful singing voice and rapping skills plus amazing dance moves. I see they can do big in the future.
Loen Entertainment’s introduction to Glam Girls
GLAM MUSIC refers to GLAM’s unique musical style in which they simultaneously offer vocal skills based on hip-hop as well as dance skills. GLAM is ready to show an unprecedented powerful performance with GLAM MUSIC that is free and full of energy combined with rap, song, and dance.
The members of GLAM were already hot in the k-pop scene before their debut with their spectacular career and dance skills. Lee Mi-So, who became known as Bang Shi-Hyuk’s mentee, captivated the hearts of people with a video clip of her singing in a rich soulful voice. The B-girl Zinni became popular for being the first girl group member to dance a head spin. Dahee was first made known with her voice in “Vocaloid” — a well-loved Japanese composition program. The members also include the leader Park Ji-Yeon, who is skilled in dance, song, and rap, and Trinity, who has a charming cat-like face. One should look forward to the energy released on stage by the 5 distinctive members of GLAM.

After years of successfully promoting their music as a 9-member girl group, Girls Generation has finally followed the footsteps of their sunbaes, Super Junior. They now have a sub unit with 3 members comprising of Taeyon(leader), Tiffany and Seohyun(maknae). Three of the most members with powerful voices, but where is Jessica?. TaeTiSeo is named after the member’s first name syllable, TAEyon, TIffany, and SEOhyun. They all got powerful voices which is the asset of this group. Girls Generation is composed of Taeyon, Tiffany, Seohyun, Jessica, Sunny, Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, Yuri and Yoona. TaeTiSeo’s first single is “Twinkle”
S.M. Entertainment’s official press release regarding the group stated that the subunit’s intention was to “grab the attention of fans with all aspects of music, performance, and fashion styles. Also hinting at the possibility of future subunits containing other members, elaborating, “by changing the members of the unit according to the music and concept of each new subunit album.” – wikipedia
Personally I never thought that SM Entertainment would make a sub unit of Girls Generation. I mean, why do they have to when all of the members are obviously popular? They don’t need sub units. Other groups having sub units are Super Junior, After School, Rainbow, etc. I remember way back Tiffany’s comments on Suju’s having sub units compared to Girls Generation. She said Girls Generation are one and don’t need subgroups. lols. Click here if you wanna see it.TaeTiSeo “Twinkle English Subs MV

Fat Cat, B.A.P. and now, Nu est. My newest liked rookie boy group. Like I said, I don’t usually get excited for new boy/girl groups out there unless if they’re from YG Entertainment. When it comes to companies, I like YG Entertainment the most coz they treat their idols stars like a family and none of the idols has resigned from the groups unlike other companies (JYP, DSPmedia, & SME).
Why I love Nu’est? I love their song, it’s catchy and this time, it’s not about love. It signifies broken friendship. Kpop is sooo addicted on making all kinds of love songs; heartbreaks, goodbyes, have-a-secret-crush-on-you song, happy love songs, betrayal, etc. (the list goes on)
To elaborate more on what I mean, here’s an example on the current kpop songs:
*Ailee “Heaven” – Boyfriend she lost. (I think the guy died) She was able to move on with her life without him.
*F.T. Island “Severely” – Severe love to his girlfriend, even risking his life for her.
*2AM “I wonder If You Hurt Like Me” – the guy is heartbroken, hurting more than his ex-girlfriend
*Nine Muses “Ticket” – one way ticket to girl’s heart
*Miss A “Touch” – Touched by her love
*Dal Shabet “Hit U” – girl hates the guy and wants to hurt him like he hurt her
*BigBang “Blue” – blue love
Aside from idols having their comebacks, what thrills me most is the story of the song they’re going to sing. Which is why I love 2NE1, most of their songs implies girl power over guys! peace!
Nu’est got my attention when Kahi (afterschool) congratulated them on their debut. They are from 1993’s-1995’s, so young and so cute guys!
Check out Nu’est debut song “Face” and their debut live performances.

I’m an ALLKPOP reader since 2008, the year where I fell in love with Kpop Music. Since then, I read their interesting articles every spare time I had. Does anybody know Ailee? Well, I dunno much about her but she’s definitely rocking her name everywhere with her strong, powerful voice. If I’m not mistaken, she first became a contestant on some Korean Music Show before debuting. In allkpop, I anticipate each live show performances every week but I don’t usually watch perfs from singers I don’t like especially those who just debuted. I get only to watch them if they do really gets my attention like their names are usually posted by allkpop, soompi or even in facebook.
So I clicked on Ailee’s debut live performance and totally fell in love with her music! Her fierceful voice is far from that of IU’s. Well, they shouldn’t be compared coz IU’s concept image is far from Ailee. IU is more on a cutesy side than Ailee. Oh, and I remembered, (Fat Cat is also a soloist trying to sport that cute image.) I love Ailee’s song “Heaven” especially the Music video! I love the guy who played Ailee’s lover! Everytime I listen to her music, the guy’s image flash into my mind and the beautiful choreography Ailee had for this song.
For all Kpop lovers out there, Ailee is definitely a talent we all would surely love, pretty face and a powerful voice. ^__^

It’s been a long time since I posted about a new kpop idol group. My last post was probably about Orange Caramel which is still my fave until now. So I got into this new idol group because of their fierce ‘image’. Based on physical looks and voices, they’re the same with the rest of the rookie idols. So I’m loving this group right now though I can’t identify which is which, lols. With a lot of boy and girl groups debuting right now it’s really difficult to identify their faces. Nobody so far stand out. Best luck to this guys, I hope they won’t change their image from fierce to cutesy and girly. ROFL.
B.A.P. stands for Best, Absolute and Perfection
Everyone’s eyeing on the rocking bunny! lols.

Does anybody knows ZE:A? (Jey-ah) I only know 1 song from them which is entitled “Mazeltov”, their debut song that goes with a funny lyrics: “Monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday, saturday, sunday” (like we don’t know the days of the week? rofl) Their songs is just a few of kpop songs with english words. Ok, I’m not a hater, in fact I like ZE:A. Their member, Kim Dong Jun, reminds me of 2NE1 Dara’s exboyfriend which is Joseph Bitangcol.
While dining out last night, I saw a MYX show guesting ZE:A members, it was then i remembered that I haven’t blogged about this. They came for a fanmeeting and promoting their album for 3 days around the city of Manila.

Hi KPOP fans!!
If you love 2am and you’re a Filipino well you probably knew they came here in the Philippines last April. They promoted their latest album “Saint O’ Clock”. I’m a huge fan of 2am! My fave member is Jo Kwon- next is Jinwoon. I love Jo Kwon for being a Ssanti King and Jinwoon for just being cute. I’ve watched a lot of 2am shows and dowloaded a few of their live performances in MBC- SBS- KBS and MNet. I’m a little upset for not blogging about them coming here so I’m posting some photos and videos of their activities while they stayed here. To start off- here’s a cute crazy dance from our Ssanti King- Jo Kwon.

MANILA, Philippines – Multi-awarded Korean boy band 2AM is amazed and thankful to find out that they have many fans in the Philippines, a country hundreds of miles away from home. The group—comprised of Jo Kwon, Changmin, Seulong and Jinwoon—is currently in the country for the first time to promote their first full album, “Saint o’Clock.”
Citing their very first Philippine meet-and-greet show at the Newport Plaza on April 28, the boys told Bulletin Entertainment on April 29—through the aid of interpreter Chaeyon Kim—that they’re happy to finally meet their passionate Filipino fans at their well-attended show.
2AM said they were “amazed by the atmosphere and ambiance, how the fans love them and then shouted even when they were singing.”
“They’re really happy to realize that there’s a lot of fans for 2AM in the Philippines. They appreciate the ‘hallyu wave’ spreading around Asia,” Kim translated.
Seemingly a curious choice for some for a band name, leader Jo Kwon explained the story on how “2AM” came about.
“2AM, in regards to the time, when it’s 2 AM you’re gonna sleep or [have a] relaxing time. [It’s when] you think about what happened in the day like happiness, happy thoughts and then [you get] emotional, so the sentiment is really high. You’re very sensitive [at that] time,” he said.
He added that the their management company JYP Entertainment’s CEO Jinyoung Park was the one who gave them the group name in order to highlight their forte, ballads.
Asked to differentiate themselves from other renowned K-Pop idol groups, Changmin said that it’s their ability to also do other genres such as R&B and pop “even though [our] main focus is [on] ballads and the slow kind of music.”
The boys also believe that though they might be singing in Korean, non-Korean speaking people such as Filipinos won’t have too much trouble appreciating their music because they put their heart in their music. “Therefore even if they [non-Koreans] might not understand the lyrics of the song, they [would still] know the sentiments and the feelings [it conveys],” they note.
2AM’s 12-track album, “Saint o’Clock,” was released in October 2010. It has two carrier tracks, “Like Crazy” and “You Wouldn’t Answer My Calls.”
Jo Kwon noted that all the songs in this album are new and original, emphasizing that no songs from any from their previous albums were included. He added, “It was really loved by many fans, not only domestically but also in foreign [countries]” and that they are “appreciate how the fans in other countries love [our] music even if it’s a sad song or a ballad.”
More, the boys shared their personal favorite cuts from “Saint o’Clock.” For Jinwoon, it’s the first track, the instrumental “Intro – Phone.”
“It doesn’t have any lyrics in it but if you listen to the first track and you listen to the first song, which is ‘You Don’t Answer My Call [‘You Wouldn’t Answer My Calls’],’ you really feel the sentiment of the first song,” he explained.
Jo Kwon said he loves the track, “Love U Hate U” as it features the “catchy” rap by trainees Bulletproof Boy Scouts.
Seulong, for his part, named the two carrier tracks as his favorites.
The song “To Love You Again,” meanwhile, is special to Changmin because he wrote the it and was based on his “own personal story.”
“It was gonna be included in the last album but it didn’t push through and they negotiate with the producers and then it got into the latest album,” Kim explained.
2AM held two successful meet-and-greet shows on April 28 and 29 at the Newport Plaza and the Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill, respectively. With the promise of giving a “great performance,” they will be having their Grand Show on April 30, Saturday, at the Eastwood Mall Open Park with teen acoustic-pop duo Krissy & Ericka as their front act.
Aside from the regular album, “Saint o’Clock Special Edition” is also now available in major record stores nationwide and features all 12-tracks from the standard release album, two bonus tracks and a DVD of their music videos.

ASAP XV, originally known as simply A.S.A.P. (All-star Sunday Afternoon Party)is a musical variety show in the Philippines broadcast by ABS-CBN. The show is presented by its main hosts Zsa Zsa Padilla, Martin Nievera, Vina Morales, Gary Valenciano, Piolo Pascual and Sarah Geronimo. New KP-pop Quartet Group, Pointen!
This newsbit has probably been long overdue, regardless however, here it is! There is currently a new all-girl pop group catching a lot of attention. They are particularly interesting for sporting a unique member system – the quartet pop-group consists of members of both Filipino and Korean nationalities. With Filipino members: Sharien (main vocalist) and Vicc (rap and vocals) Korean members: Garyn (vocals) and Yuju (leader) these girls have deemed their music as KP-pop or Korean Philippine Pop.
Pointen, derived from “Ten Points”, basically implies perfection. The group was formed by Macrolite Corporation’s (a Korean trading company established in the Philippines) General Manager Channelle Kim. Having just recently performed in ASAP XV last October 24, they are certainly making a splash in the Philippine Pop Industry.

Check out their other Music Videos!
“A Fairy Tale Song”
Their 1st Mini Album, Dance Floor Prima Donna, is released under Sony Music. It has seven tracks including A Fary Tale Song and Shake It.
Well, that’s why I didn’t recognize these girls when they performed on ASAP XV. I was even surprise where they are from since I’m a KPOP lover and there’s nowhere I have heard or seen the name “pointen”. So this could be a good start for korean-philippines pop music industry. I just wish *crossfingers* that they will be a success this time. There are P-pop groups existing already which I think is a total failure compared to Kpop. (Pop Girls and XLR8). They CAN’T really sing and dance at the same time. I wish good luck to Pointen!
Yay! I know this has been really late news but still I wanted to show everyone what Jay Park did while he was here in the Philippines. He performed “demon” during Showtime shown last September 30, 2010…
Jay Park is the former leader of 2Pm and he’s know before as Park Jaebum…^_^ (Used the name Jay Park when he went solo).

Nine Muses is a nine-member girl group from ZE:A’s agency, Star Empire Entertainment. Other than Park Min Ha from ZE:A’s MV, another girl from the group is Lee Hyun Joo, who won 2007’s Super Model. (FYI: ZE:A are rookie boy group who have 9 members, same with Nine Muses)
Here is the rumored list of the rest of the members’ profiles, excluding Park Min Ha. (Name, Year of Birth, Height)
Sun Sung Ah (1989, 173cm)
Lee Hyun Joo (1987, 174cm)
Kim Yuri (1984, 167cm)
Jung Seo Young (1987, 175cm)
Victoria (1988, 173cm)
Han Soo Rin (1984, 174cm)

Nine Muses release their debut song “No Playboy”. Here’s the MV
They debuted yesterday in Music Bank.
See? They’re hot and sexy. But they can’t really sing a high pitch song. Probably there’s one though. I just like these girls coz they so adorable and flirtatious. They have that model image and i’m glad that they’re old. (unlike GP Basic, very young yet acting like adults). I was mesmerized by their body figures, no short members, and their average height is 5’6 that’s around 170 cm. Other reason why i like them is that they didn’t lip synch like most of the girl group does especially when they debut. I just wish that they won’t be hated that much by other fans because they’re 9.
Also, everyone’s pretty!. Good luck to you girls!!
A compilation of Wonder girls live performances for their song “2 Different Tears”. This is one of the reasons why I love kpop. Their stages & outfits only appear for about 4 minute and they never use it again. Kpop group performs 4 times a week in different stations (Mnet, KBS, MBC and SBS), every week there are around 20 performers. So in a span of 1 week, there’s 80 different stages & outfits. In a month there are 320 huge stages made. WOAH! so where are they keeping all those things?. Kpop is A-MAZING
I miss the wonder girls so much. ATM, they’re still promoting their songs in America & in Asia. Since they debuted in America, I notice that many fansites are closing probably because wonder girls are out in Korea which means less updates.
