Super Juniors Donghae and Siwon (SiHae) in Manila for Bench

sihae in manila

Super Junior’s Sihae (donghae and siwon) went to Manila for a Bench Show and meet their fans. Bench is a Philippine local clothing brand endorsed by Siwon and Donghae. The two Idols arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 at about 10:54 a.m. via Korean Air flight 621. Donghae and Siwon met with 700 fans for “SiHae in Manila promo” hosted by Bench at Trinoma Activity Center.

Donghae Tweeted their arrival in Manila:

We going to Manila ^^ See u soon guys !! With Siwon

“Good bye !! Manila see u next time !!^^ I’ll be back soon !! Good night see u in dream !!”

Siwon’s Tweet:

“The day before – Nell thanks manila for all your love and passion. already miss you ;)”

Technically, I missed this HUGE event! I went to Manila at dawn and came back in my hometown midnight last Monday, august 13,2012. Woah, If I have known, I would’ve moved it on August 14,2012 instead! They’re 2 of my bigtime crushes on Super Junior! Sad but anyways, enjoy spamming your eyes on this hotties!

Is T-ara not worth it over the years?

Bad news all around for Queens (T-ara fans) the 8 turned 7 member group T-ara is facing probably the biggest havoc in their career as hallyu idols. T-ara debuted as a 6 member group composing of leader So Yeon, Jiyeon, Eunjung (former leader), Hyomin, Boram, Ahreum, and Qri last 2009. Three years later, with the new member Hwayoung who gave them a better spotlight got kicked out of the group resulted in increasing anti-fans.

I like T-ara a lot because of their beautiful music, great choreography, fantastic music video storyline and most of all because of Hwayoung. Her rapping skills are excellent and full of emotions. I love
“Day by Day” and “We were in love” because of her rap part.

Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, a mishap occurred regarding t-ara’s relationship within themselves and with the company that costs the CEO to end Hwayoung’s contract as part of the group. This controversy is making headlines in Kpop. Speculations and rumors are the only visible factors believed in by many fans as to why Hwayoung left the group. Core Content Media is the company handling these girls and made an official statement on behalf of this issue.

“Gosh, can’t wait for August to arrive where T-ara pursues their comeback amidst controversy while the investigation on the sudden exit of Hwayoung continues.”

Bullied. The big “B” word is like a whistle blower to fans and to the CEO Kim Kwang Soo. It all started out with Jiyeon, Hyomin, Eunjung tweeting something about “will” that was interpreted as a teasing manner to their fellow member Hwayoung. In return, Hyoyoung, Hwayoung’s twin tweeted on cheering Hwayoung about it. Hwayoung was unable to perform with the group due to her leg injury which caused a huge problem to the rest of the girls and the company. During their concert, Hwayoung wasn’t allowed to perform but because she really wanted to, she was only allowed during their “Day by Day” performance.  In my opinion, the twits meant nothing about the girls having to carry on with the concert without Hwayoung. Their twits meant something about Respect, determination and will. It makes me want to think that since the old members strongly oppose additions to their group, they’re bullying Hwayoung by telling her to show more and work hard since she’s the newest member. Remember way back when they were promoting “Lovey Dovey”? and Hwayoung had that nipple slip accident?. Rumors has it that CCM wanted Hwayoung to do it and the t-ara members disagree but still Hwayoung did the nipple slip. This makes me think that she’s been hated a lot since then. Aside from this, netizens dig up more unnoticed bullying incidents by the members to Hwayoung. Bullying is the factor seen by fans according to what they’ve seen on TV shows and what they’ve digged up that caused the company to kick Hwayoung out.

I’ve read an article that everything was totally fine during their Budokan concert. It was only when they came back to South korea for their Music Bank performance when Hwayoung stubbornly refused to perform on stage when there’s only 2 group performers left before them. This incident was the only stated reason by CEO Kim kwang Soo about Hwayoung’s negative behaviour. According to their official statement, members are not bullying Hwayoung and it’s not the reason why they ask her to quit T-ara.

Upon hearing this horrible issues, it’s not impossible for the company to do such acts like what happened to Open World Entertainment wherein they ask their idols to harass their trainees. Each company has a secret to success and I never thought that T-ara is one of the victims. Until now, it’s still a puzzle to me why Hyomin, Jiyeon, Boram, So Yeon and Eunjung hate Hwayoug so much. There should be something aside from the thought that she was added to the group. You can’t hate a person forever right? CCM could make another group idol but chose to add members to existing group.

hwayoung

hwayoung

Here is my brief view and guess behind what’s happening to t-ara; Warning! this is merely my understanding and interpretation on what’s happening to t-ara.

Hwayoung is the newest member of t-ara and to be noticed quickly, because of her will and determination, she needs to do what the company asks her. Because of following their orders, she’s hated by her groupmates. Hwayoung probably had done things that upset her group. It’s either they care for hwayoung or they care about their name t-ara. When the bullying matter exploded it’s only a matter of time before something or somebody gets busted. So for the company to clear out their name before all of this happen, they kicked hwayoung out of the group. Turned their back on her by explaining that she has misbehaved or has bad attitudes. Hwayoung also knows the secrets, so by the time that she speaks, she’s out of t-ara and the company could sue her without damaging T-ara’s name. it would be difficult for them to shut her mouth if she’s still in the group since t-ara’s name would be affected and they’re one of the important idols coz they’re bringing in a lot of cash to their company because of their popularity.

On top of it all, below are the facts with mysterious reasons about T-ara and CCM.

Eunjung, Jiyeon, Hyomin, So Yeon and Boram bullying Hwayoung.

CCM decided to end Hwayoung’s contract due to her behaviour. (when she refused to perform on stage)

I support T-Jinyo by the way! Demanding truths!!

So Nyu Shi Dae’s TaeTiSeo (Girl’s Generation first Sub Unit)

TaeTiSeo - Twinkle

TaeTiSeo – Twinkle

After years of successfully promoting their music as a 9-member girl group, Girls Generation has finally followed the footsteps of their sunbaes, Super Junior. They now have a sub unit with 3 members comprising of Taeyon(leader), Tiffany and Seohyun(maknae). Three of the most members with powerful voices, but where is Jessica?. TaeTiSeo is named after the member’s first name syllable, TAEyon, TIffany, and SEOhyun. They all got powerful voices which is the asset of this group. Girls Generation is composed of Taeyon, Tiffany, Seohyun, Jessica, Sunny, Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, Yuri and Yoona. TaeTiSeo’s first single is “Twinkle”

S.M. Entertainment’s official press release regarding the group stated that the subunit’s intention was to “grab the attention of fans with all aspects of music, performance, and fashion styles. Also hinting at the possibility of future subunits containing other members, elaborating, “by changing the members of the unit according to the music and concept of each new subunit album.”  – wikipedia

Personally I never thought that SM Entertainment would make a sub unit of Girls Generation. I mean, why do they have to when all of the members are obviously popular? They don’t need sub units. Other groups having  sub units are Super Junior, After School, Rainbow, etc. I remember way back  Tiffany’s comments on Suju’s having sub units compared to Girls Generation. She said Girls Generation are one and don’t need subgroups. lols. Click here if you wanna see it.

Let’s learn about EXO-M

EXO-M

EXO-M

You probably wondered who is EXO-M right? and why are there 2 sub units of EXO. Well, if you have read my previous post, EXO means from ExoPlanet, divided into korean and Chinese group debuting and promoting same songs in 2 different nations. I’m a Kpop Fan, so I first got familiar with EXO-K. I couldn’t say which group is the best since they are from one band. There are who excels in dancing like Kai and singing like D.O. The Boys I’m loving from this group is Kai, D.O., Tao and Lu Han

Just my thought. I dunno how it goes in China when a singer/band is promoting a song but I do know that Exo-K will be promoting much more since they have to perform 4x a week in Korea’s big music shows which are Mnet, KBS, MBC and SBS. This means that Exo-K will get more exposure than Exo-M. (but remember, China is Big!)

B.A.P. Fierce Warriors Debut

It’s been a long time since I posted about a new kpop idol group. My last post was probably about Orange Caramel which is still my fave until now. So I got into this new idol group because of their fierce ‘image’. Based on physical looks and voices, they’re the same with the rest of the rookie idols. So I’m loving this group right now though I can’t identify which is which, lols. With a lot of boy and girl groups debuting right now it’s really difficult to identify their faces. Nobody so far stand out. Best luck to this guys, I hope they won’t change their image from fierce to cutesy and girly. ROFL.

B.A.P. stands for Best, Absolute and Perfection

Everyone’s eyeing on the rocking bunny! lols.

2NE1 arrives in the Philippines! They are back!

OMG!
They are here! They arrived in short notice. Lols. They arrived noontime on February 1, 2012. Blackjacks must’ve had a 24/7 lookout on 2NE1 updates. A few pinoy blackjacks made it to the airport for 2NE1’s arrival.

Nobody knew why 2ne1 is here in the Philippines and some said that they’re here for vacation since it’s still winter in Korea. But in my POV, vacation?!, nah, I don’t think so. If they’re having a break due to winter, they would’ve gone separate ways. Bom would go the states and visit some relatives and Dara would probably visit Philippines. I’m a blackjack but not as updated as before when I’m still running the Gallery. I’ve seen pictures of 2ne1 together in New York. I think they’re discreetly working on a project and I wonder what it is.

Sharing you a few shots of 2NE1 in Manila today, February 1, 2012.

ZE:A in the Philippines [Jan. 11-14,2012

Does anybody knows ZE:A? (Jey-ah) I only know 1 song from them which is entitled “Mazeltov”, their debut song that goes with a funny lyrics: “Monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday, saturday, sunday” (like we don’t know the days of the week? rofl) Their songs is just a few of kpop songs with english words. Ok, I’m not a hater, in fact I like ZE:A. Their member, Kim Dong Jun, reminds me of 2NE1 Dara’s exboyfriend which is Joseph Bitangcol.

While dining out last night, I saw a MYX show guesting ZE:A members, it was then i remembered that I haven’t blogged about this. They came for a fanmeeting and promoting their album for 3 days around the city of Manila.

Super Junior’s Siwon, Kyuhyun and Eunhyuk in Manila for Kyochon CF Shoot

pardon for the late blog on Siwon’s unexpected secret arrival (rumoured to be with Kyuhyun and Eunhyuk) in Manila Philippines. That was a sudden news that panic most of the PHelfs living in Manila who went directly to NAIA Terminal to see their Idol’s arrival. I don’t get a chance to stalk him coz I live in Cebu but I’m happy he spent his New Year’s Day here in Philippines.  I’ll hope they’ll visit Cebu too! ^_^ (I’ll surely get VIP seats!)

Siwon only tweeted about himself coming to Manila but Eunhyuk and Kyuhyun was with him too for the Kyochon CF shoot, a popular restaurant in Korea.

Here’s the article about his sudden visit:

MANILA, Philippines – K-pop fans in the Philippines got their first treat of the new year when Super Junior’s resident hunk Siwon arrived in the country last night.

According to fans, Siwon did not go out of the airport through the arrival area but instead exited at the departure area.

Twitter was also abuzz that Siwon arrived with Super Junior member Kyuhyun. This has not been confirmed.

Siwon’s visit to the country became a trending topic on Twitter in the Philippines.

At around 6 a.m. today, Siwon greeted fans with a picture of a sunrise in Manila.

“Good morning beautiful world. first day in philipines. Its so beautiful sunrise. It will be lovely day. God bless!” he said.

Kpop’s Dal Shabet “Star Pictorial” in Cebu, Philippines

As what the title says, yup Pinoy Dal Shabet fanatics. They’ve discreetly have had their pictorial here in Cebu (my city) last November 21, 2011. I was in awe when I read the news regarding the Star Hwabo Press Conference held in korea where Dal Shabet attendend. I honestly NEVER thought that a korean kpop idol group would come here secretly to take just a bunch of photos. I remorse to that! They’re not the only kpop artist who went here secretly. (Talking about F.T. Island who had a video shoot for their music video) If I had known I would’ve take a peek and snag a picture of them with me. JK. I’ve been to the resort and it’s pretty nice with all that natural-beauty-look. I got interested with the news because their debut song “Supa Dupa Diva” is my alarm clock tone until now (incredibly). I just realized that I’ve been using a single tune for my alarm tone for almost a year. And as a Kpop fan, that’s a record for Dal Shabet. I hardly even know these girls, I just got addicted to their catchy song and dance moves! IF they’ll release another catchy song, I’ll totally love them for sure and be one of their fans. The other interesting side of this girls is that they named their fans “Darling” which happens to be my Nickname – Darling. lols. Read along the post and learn more about this awesome girls.

Dal Shabet Profile:

Dal Shabet (Hangul: 달샤벳), stylized as Dal★Shabet, is a South Korean girl group created by E-Tribe through their label Happy Face Entertainment. The members include Viki (Leader), Serri, Ah Young, Jiyul, GaEun and Subin (Maknae). On January 3, 2011, Dal Shabet released their debut music video, “Supa Dupa Diva”, making them the first girl group to debut in 2011.

An article from Soompi:

Dal Shabet Glam up for “Star Pictorial”

The six charming ladies of Dal Shabet recently participated in “Star Pictorial,” a photoshoot service that’s more like a box present of pictures for fans.

Filmed in Cebu, Philippines, the girls showed a wide array of images from “Bling Bling” cute to lovely, and even alluring and sexy, making full use of the beautiful scenery at their disposal. They also gave a nod to the upcoming holiday season by dressing themselves in fun Christmas-themed accessories for a “Christmas party in Summer” theme.

Since the girls are usually known for their cuter image on stage, fans were excited to see the girls take on a feistier look, accomplished by dramatic eyelashes, punky looks, and form-fitting dresses.

“They filmed in the sweltering heat outside, but the members maintained their upbeat energy all throughout,” the producers satisfyingly said.

Hello Kpop Lovers!

@ 6:00 – and they are Korean Superstars in dubbed Korean drama or also known as “Koreanovela” that got high ratings.

@ 6:15 – Youths are like acting insane screaming to their favorite Kpop stars that are now visiting often to hold a concert.

@ 6:28 – But do you know that their fame has reached not only Philippines but also around the world rt

@ 6:37 – In this book, “Korean Wave” tells the story of how they became famous starting from Philippines. They’re slowly becoming popular in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, China, Mongolia, and even in Iran, Australia, Latin America, Spain and Poland.

@ 7:05 – From Korea, it’s like they want to conquer the whole world.

@ 7:14 – Who wouldn’t know the song “Nobody” of Wonder Girls?

@ 7:22 – Meanwhile, a lot of Kpop groups in Korea are quickly getting their fame.

@ 7:30 – Just like the group, 4Minute which we were able to talk personally from their concert from other country.

@ 7:42 – 4minute: “Thank You!”, “We are 4minute!”

@7: 46 – Nam Jihyun: “I’m a bit surprised because it’s a new environment but in my experiences, I’ve learned a lot from these challenges”

@ 7:55 – Kim Hyuna: “I think, it’s a destiny that we’re grouped together. It’s not easy to form a group like this but everyone’s having fun because we’re like families”

@ 8:07 – Jiyoon: “The people from the Philippines are very warm, very sweet, friendly and we’ll do a lot of things if we can go back to the Philippines”.

@ 8:22 – Their fame has just started in the Philippines but 4Minute, all girl band here in Korea is one of the in demands and one of the popular.

@ 8:35 – Girl’s Generation is loved in Korea and after they gained the artist of the year in Korea a lot of times, they’re also now famous in Japan, Philippines and America. They also dreamed to be known in Europe.

@ 8:44 – And the group 2NE1

@ 9:04 – So do you know anyone from this group that looks familiar especially to the Filipinos?

@ 9:05 – You are not mistaken. She is now Dara or much known as Sandara Park.

@ 9 :18 – Here in Korea, Sandara Park is often taken as a product endorser in different brands. If you have noticed, Sandara’s face has changed a bit, she’s not anymore the baby we used to know in the Philippines. Now, she has became a women and is endorsing products for sophisticated women.

@ 9:40 – Sandara was first known as the winner of Star Circle Teen Quest

@ 9: 54 – This building in Gangnam, Seoul is often visited by Girl’s Generation and Super Junior during practice for their song and dance presentation for concerts.

@ 10:14 – In the Philippines, Super Junior is very famous, they just came from a concert in the Philippines but according to Koreans, they are not that active anymore that’s why newer groups surpassed their popularity.

@ 19:36 – Whoever we asked, the famous group of them all is 2PM.

@ 10:47 – Nickhun is known as the favorite member of the group here in Korea. When we asked them why, they answered because he’s the most handsome member of their group. Do you know that he’s a foreigner? He comes from Thailand.

@ 11:08 – From their number 1 song “Again and Again”, they garnered more awards from the music scene in Korea.

@ 11:23 – If there’s 2pm, there’s also 2am. In the philippines, 2am wowed the Filipino fans just like any other Kpop groups who visited the Philippines

I’ve watched a lot of 2am shows and dowloaded a few of their live performances in MBC- SBS- KBS and MNet. I’m a little upset for not blogging about them coming here so I’m posting some photos and videos of their activities while they stayed here. 2AM overwhelmed with popularity among Filipinos

2AM

2AM

MANILA, Philippines – Multi-awarded Korean boy band 2AM is amazed and thankful to find out that they have many fans in the Philippines, a country hundreds of miles away from home. The group—comprised of Jo Kwon, Changmin, Seulong and Jinwoon—is currently in the country for the first time to promote their first full album, “Saint o’Clock.”

Citing their very first Philippine meet-and-greet show at the Newport Plaza on April 28, the boys told Bulletin Entertainment on April 29—through the aid of interpreter Chaeyon Kim—that they’re happy to finally meet their passionate Filipino fans at their well-attended show.

2AM said they were “amazed by the atmosphere and ambiance, how the fans love them and then shouted even when they were singing.”

“They’re really happy to realize that there’s a lot of fans for 2AM in the Philippines. They appreciate the ‘hallyu wave’ spreading around Asia,” Kim translated.

Seemingly a curious choice for some for a band name, leader Jo Kwon explained the story on how “2AM” came about.

“2AM, in regards to the time, when it’s 2 AM you’re gonna sleep or [have a] relaxing time. [It’s when] you think about what happened in the day like happiness, happy thoughts and then [you get] emotional, so the sentiment is really high. You’re very sensitive [at that] time,” he said.

He added that the their management company JYP Entertainment’s CEO Jinyoung Park was the one who gave them the group name in order to highlight their forte, ballads.

Asked to differentiate themselves from other renowned K-Pop idol groups, Changmin said that it’s their ability to also do other genres such as R&B and pop “even though [our] main focus is [on] ballads and the slow kind of music.”

The boys also believe that though they might be singing in Korean, non-Korean speaking people such as Filipinos won’t have too much trouble appreciating their music because they put their heart in their music. “Therefore even if they [non-Koreans] might not understand the lyrics of the song, they [would still] know the sentiments and the feelings [it conveys],” they note.

2AM’s 12-track album, “Saint o’Clock,” was released in October 2010. It has two carrier tracks, “Like Crazy” and “You Wouldn’t Answer My Calls.”

Jo Kwon noted that all the songs in this album are new and original, emphasizing that no songs from any from their previous albums were included. He added, “It was really loved by many fans, not only domestically but also in foreign [countries]” and that they are “appreciate how the fans in other countries love [our] music even if it’s a sad song or a ballad.”

More, the boys shared their personal favorite cuts from “Saint o’Clock.” For Jinwoon, it’s the first track, the instrumental “Intro – Phone.”

“It doesn’t have any lyrics in it but if you listen to the first track and you listen to the first song, which is ‘You Don’t Answer My Call [‘You Wouldn’t Answer My Calls’],’ you really feel the sentiment of the first song,” he explained.

Jo Kwon said he loves the track, “Love U Hate U” as it features the “catchy” rap by trainees Bulletproof Boy Scouts.

Seulong, for his part, named the two carrier tracks as his favorites.

The song “To Love You Again,” meanwhile, is special to Changmin because he wrote the it and was based on his “own personal story.”

“It was gonna be included in the last album but it didn’t push through and they negotiate with the producers and then it got into the latest album,” Kim explained.

2AM held two successful meet-and-greet shows on April 28 and 29 at the Newport Plaza and the Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill, respectively. With the promise of giving a “great performance,” they will be having their Grand Show on April 30, Saturday, at the Eastwood Mall Open Park with teen acoustic-pop duo Krissy & Ericka as their front act.

Aside from the regular album, “Saint o’Clock Special Edition” is also now available in major record stores nationwide and features all 12-tracks from the standard release album, two bonus tracks and a DVD of their music videos.

Are you ready Blackjacks?

Only 2 weeks left and our fave YGLadies will be here performing our fave songs like “Fire”, “I Don’t Care”, “Clap Your Hands”,  “Go Away” and their latest single “Lonely”

MANILA, Philippines — The concert of popular K-pop girl group 2NE1 at the Araneta Coliseum will be held on June 4, according to the organizer.

Happee Sy of Pulp Live Productions announced the date last night on Facebook as “our last hoorah before school starts.”

Sy also confirmed to Bulletin Entertainment that the event, dubbed as “The Party”, is really a concert to answer fans who were asking what will happen during the event.

“Yup,” Sy said in a text message to Bulletin Entertainment. She also clarified on Facebook that the event is not a fan meeting.

With the date now confirmed, fans are waiting to buy the tickets to the concert.

“Can’t wait,” “Super excited,” “Thank you for the amazing news,” and “Let’s go party Blackjacks” were just some of the fans’ reactions to the announcement:

The concert was originally scheduled on May 15 but was reset to June because of 2NE1’s comeback to the K-pop scene this April.

In addition to preparing for their Manila concert and new album, 2NE1 will be busy with their other activities.

2NE1 has signed up for a collaborative project with Adidas Originals in South Korea.

Last year, Adidas Originals designer Jeremy Scott made clothes for 2NE1 in time for the release of the girl group’s album.

Introducing New KP-pop Quartet Group, Pointen!

New KP-pop Quartet Group, Pointen!

Pointen

This newsbit has probably been long overdue, regardless however, here it is! There is currently a new all-girl pop group catching a lot of attention. They are particularly interesting for sporting a unique member system – the quartet pop-group consists of members of both Filipino and Korean nationalities. With Filipino members: Sharien (main vocalist) and Vicc (rap and vocals) Korean members: Garyn (vocals) and Yuju (leader) these girls have deemed their music as KP-pop or Korean Philippine Pop.

Pointen, derived from “Ten Points”, basically implies perfection. The group was formed by Macrolite Corporation’s (a Korean trading company established in the Philippines) General Manager Channelle Kim. Having just recently performed in ASAP XV last October 24, they are certainly making a splash in the Philippine Pop Industry.

My Review:

Well, that’s why I didn’t recognize these girls when they performed on ASAP XV. I was even surprise where they are from since I’m a KPOP lover and there’s nowhere I have heard or seen the name “pointen”.  So this could be a good start for korean-philippines pop music industry. I just wish *crossfingers* that they will be a success this time. There are P-pop groups existing already which I think is  a total failure compared to Kpop. (Pop Girls and XLR8). They CAN’T really sing and dance at the same time. I wish good luck to Pointen!
